Tahoe in March

Spent the past weekend with the college homies. Forgot how much fun it was to be with one another. It's good to know, although our lives are different now, we can all come back like we never left. My dad always told me the best times of his life were in college, I do now understand now...

So what have I been up to? I'll tell you son, getting down with the GMAT. My test is coming up in April and I am definitely not ready. I always thought that my math was stronger than my verbal, but I've been getting a lot more verbal questions right. Funny how that works. I blame Microsoft for creating Excel and making every corporate slave that much more dumb/lazy. It's a love/hate relationship.

Alright I'm off to the Milpitas library. If you haven't checked it out, you need to!

SOFA KING COOL, out!

respect

i think its hardest when you lose respect for a homie. growing up together you would think that we all had the same moral values which bonded us together. but who the fuck am i to judge right? guess as priorities shift and lifestyles change, it's easily to get side tracked. i just don't understand why people gotta lie to kick it. i'm not gonna think any less of you as long as you are real. frontin' is only gonna make you look worse or get you in drama down the road.

you do what you gotta do...

empire state of mind

its been a minute since i posted something and thought what better way than to rant about nyc! definitely a last minute trip with chubs mcgrubs, but well worth it!

we planned our entire trip around food, who does that?! let me tell you first hand, i would do it again! ak has definitely turned me into a food fanatic.

some of the places we hit up were: halal cart, momofuku, ippudo, katz deli, caracas arepas bar, artichoke pizza, shake shack, paella bar, shainghai cafe, chinatown ice cream factory, etc...all were good, i could have done without momofuku and shake shack. a little hyped in my opinion. besides food, we got to attend a live taping of the letterman show. got lucky with blake lively, the dude from dexter, and drake! after the show, the true groupies inside us came out as they exited thru the back door into their SUVs. it was fun to see ak so star struck with blake :)

eunji also was kind enough to offer her place to us for a couple nights. its refreshing to see how the homies live. no disrespect, but she chooses not to own tv! i'm not sure if i could live that life. haha. what does she do you ask? she piles through one to two books during the weekends (hung over and all). which reminds me, they deliver pho in ny! shit was so clutch on a foggy sunday afternoon.

to fashionable jews, over priced items, and crazy cab drivers...cheers to ny! until next time.

one.

shots and beer

if it weren't for technology, so many talented people would never be seen or heard. lately i've realized how much asian talent is out there. for example...

it was a good day...

started off like any other day. hopped on my 8:30am meeting call to find out that the national director of my entire practice name drops, MY NAME. shortly after, i hear...project chatter box. my mouth just drops. later during the call a senior manager adds to what our director said and just rants about how great of a job i've done with this! definitely made my day and knowing that i'm doing something right at work.

project chatter box is an initiative that i created and executed at work. basically, it's a 6 part course for peers to practice their presentation skills in a safe environment. i piloted it in the san francisco office and now it is going to be rolled out nationally!

can i get an encore?

i've been wanting to start up a blog again for quite some time now. always procrastinated on it, but fuck it, live in the present. now is now.

man, a lot of shit has changed for me since i last was doing this. for the most part, i've moved onto bigger and better things. picked up a new lady off the FA list (jk). in all seriousness, she has been everything that i've wanted in a girl. cute, funny, ambitious, athletic, and just down to have a good time. i feel we compliment each other on some many levels, its unreal. safe to say, that i am ape shit about her.

work is still work, it will always be. grindin monday thru friday for the man, hopefully to live the american dream. i've always had the drive to help make better decisions thru financial analysis, but lately i've come to ask myself, do i wanna be staring at numbers for the rest of my life? i need something more. taking the gmat is on my priority list from now until mid year 2010. wish me luck!

i don't want to blab on for too long, just wanted to let you know ya'll know i'm back.

always stay true to yourself, 1 love.
